It's A Brum Ting was commissioned by Birmingham Archive as part of the "On Record" vinyl album, a multi genre tribute to the City, with Friendly Fire Band's three main frontmen: Myki Tuff, Tomlin Mystic and Lukas Daley

It was later noticed by the BBC who decided to use it as their theme song for their Commonwealth Games coverage, and gave it huge exposure.
